Hey Dungeon Masters, let's talk about monsters. Usually we get a stat block and maybe some flavor text. But what do they mean? What can they tell us beyond a bunch of powers and abilities? Watch me go over the Succubus, drawing from both the OSR and 5th Edition Monster Manuals and let's see what we can suss out about how to best use this creature in our Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.

Hey Dungeon Masters, another week, another Unearthed Arcana for Dungeons & Dragons let loose from Wizards of the Coast. Let's take a look at these playtest options for the fighter, ranger, and rogue classes. What do you think? Which of these archetypes strike your fancy? Would you use any or all of these options in your campaign?
A podcast exclusive and a little something different here to change up the pace. I chat for almost two hours with my friend Will about the big ideas that Star Trek: The Next Generation failed to follow through on. Apologies in advance for the audio quality, we recorded this in his apartment using only my mobile recorder. If this goes over better than a lead balloon, this may become a recurring feature and I'll try to do better with the audio. Enjoy and let me know what you think!
Hey Dungeon Masters! I like to watch anime now and again and, last week, I stumbled upon "Record of the Grancrest War" on Netflix. I have very mixed feelings about the series itself BUT I thought the concept of crests in the show ws fascinating and worth talking about as an interesting element for a Dungeons & Dragons campaign.
Hey Dungeon Masters! This installment of the Screed took forever to export but maybe that's because it's an hour long ramble (apologies in advance!) in which I talk about coming back from an August break, what's coming up, the Dark Crystal, flanking in 5E, and more.

Hey Dungeon Masters! While working on one video, I end up creating another! In this installment, I go over using the Five Room Dungeon design pattern to flesh out and improv locations for your Dungeons & Dragons campaign. The Five Room Dungeon name belies its fleibility and usefulness for adding details and structure to any location that you need. In this video, I riff through one example but I hope the exercise will inspire your own ideas for deploying this tool in your game.

Hey Dungeon Masters, in this installment of my lunchtime game master prep stream, I work on the local factions that operate in the immediate area of my Dungeons & Dragons campaign area.

Hey Dungeon Masters, this is the first of a series of streams that I will be doing in which I work on some prep for Dungeons & Dragons stuff. In this one, I begin brainstorming and sketching out a setting that I will use as the background for some adventure content that I'm planning to create.

Hey Dungeon Masters, I found this great, supplement on Reddit called, "Dead Memories" by Fred Bednarski, that I decided to share. It's system agnostic so it would be a trivial matter to drop this into a Dungeons & Dragons campaign of any edition or any RPG for that matter.
